RESNET Certified HERS Rater: RESNET (short for the Residential Energy Services Network), is the premier accreditation organization for home energy raters and home energy auditors in the country. With an emphasis on new construction, RESNET certified HERS Raters (HERS is short for Home Energy Rating System) to analyze each element of home that may contribute to energy waste or energy inefficiencies. During a HERS Rating, we analyze each of these components, as well as their relationship to one another, to assign the home a score from 1-100 on the HERS Index. (100 is bad, 0 is good.) HERS Ratings are a mandatory part of the certification process for many green building certifications including Energy Star and LEED.

Residential HVAC Systems Performance & Air-Balancing:  Just because your heating and cooling system is operating doesn’t mean it’s working at peak efficiency.  Like your car; your heating and cooling equipment relies on many aspects to work together efficiently so that you get maximum comfort with a minimum energy cost. National Comfort Institute trains heating and air conditioning professionals to test systems just like yours to determine existing efficiency and delivered comfortable air.   NCI also trains them to pinpoint troubles in your system and fix these problems. NCI Certified Professionals that complete NCI’s System Performance and Air Balancing courses are certified to test your heating and cooling equipment and make the necessary recommendations and repairs to maximize the results in your home.
